Company (and Volunteer) Workgroups
Working in The Secret Garden is an unusual, creative experience. Your contribution improves the environment; you should enjoy (and benefit from) being outdoors; and it's fun whilst being a different method of building team morale.

If you like the sound of this, please do contact us. (And, believe me, we are very grateful to you all).

Alongside the Grand Union Canal in the railway town of Wolverton, Milton Keynes, the local community have transformed a piece of derelict land into a new greenspace for the enjoyment of all - The Secret Garden.

On this site you can discover the process of the creation of The Secret Garden and the people involved. You can also find out about our latest news, forthcoming events and about opportunities to help in the garden.

Sadly, Sue Westell died recently. Through a fortuitous meeting, she was key in getting us the land and then fundraised for the Garden to go ahead. She has been one of our gardeners all this time, until this summer. Her encyclopaediac garden knowledge helped to make the right decisions for plants and maintenance and will be missed, as will she for her interesting, intelligent conversations especially in the realms of arts and politics.
The loss of Sue makes us Gardeners very thin on the ground. Please do come on a Saturday for any time that suits you between 10 and 12:30, we supply all the equipment (and a lot of the knowhow!).

Because of the small number of gardeners we say very very many thanks to the great team from FibreFab who put their backs into putting the ivy back in its place!

This year the Lanterns from the Lantern Festival will last longer than usual! The lanterns and additional lighting will be in The Secret Garden as part of the Secret Winter Garden Illuminations.  Running from Sunday 26th November to Sunday 3rd December there will be a number of events in the Garden illuminations on the canalboats; the Town Band and carolsinging.  Keep an eye out for more details.
